As Evan and Jeff built Dash & Albert, they were driven by the goal to create rugs that did more.
Most rugs at the time were either inexpensive scatter rugs that lacked durability or expensive wool area rugs that required special care. Dash & Albert pioneered a new middle ground: thoughtfully designed rugs substantial enough for high-traffic areas yet affordable and easy-to-care-for.
We were also one of the first brands to focus on indoor/outdoor rugs. While outdoor rugs used to be treated as an afterthought, Dash & Albert created designs as beautiful and durable for the outdoors as the indoors.

Jeff and Evan started Dash & Albert in Stowe, Vermont in 1997. Over the years, we’ve expanded across New England, but our headquarters remains here among Vermont’s rolling hills and picturesque small towns.
